This guide explains how to configure Outlook to connect to CSCS's email servers.


To follow this guide you will need:

If you don't have a recent version of Office installed on your personal computer, you might want to install Office 365 using the guide: Installing Office 365 Pro Plus


 Outlook for Office 365

Open Outlook and if prompted enter the following


Click Tools and select Acconts

Click blue Add Email Account button

If prompted for a licence, sign in with your work or school account using the email address and password

Please enter your email address email address

When prompted set up your email as follows and click Add Account

 Outlook 2019

  1. Open Outlook 2019
  2. Click on the Outlook menu and click Preferences
  3. In the Personal Settings area, click on Accounts

To set up your account settings:

  1. Click the + symbol in the lower left-hand corner and select Exchange or Office 365
  2. In the Enter your Exchange account information fill in:
    1. Your full email address
    2. In the Authentication section select:
      1. Method - select User Name and Password
      2. If you are configuring an @medschl account, then enter your username as MINTS\username (this will be your University ID)
      3. If you are configuring an @slcu account, then enter your username as SLCU\username (this will be firstname.lastname)
    3. Enter your password
    4. Tick the Configure Automatically tickbox
  3. Your email, calendar and tasks will begin to download to your computer. Please note that depending on the size of your mailbox this can take quite a while. Please be patient.
