Introduction
Windows 10 Home does not support management by Intune. In order for a device to be managed by Intune it must be running Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Enterprise.
Requirements
If it is running Windows 10 Pro we will upgrade it to use our Enterprise Key Management Server key as part of the Intune service.
If your device is running Windows 10 Home, it can be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro using the command below. Please note: Once the device has been upgraded to Windows 10 Pro, we cannot return it to Windows 10 Home - we can only return it to Windows 10 Pro. As a result you may receive a message stating your Windows is not activated - please see below for information on how to check. If the device does not have a valid license, you must either purchase a Windows 10 Pro license, or re-install Windows yourself using either an image from the device manufacturer, or by downloading a Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft and entering your key manually.

Hi Gareth Pullen , I have a Home OEM laptop at homethat I want to use bitlocker on... theerefore was trying to update to Pro / Education or Enterprise.
Tried multiple keys via the change my key wizard - both MAK from our VLSC and the generic one you listed. All failed. Apparently they do some online entitlement check lately. Priort to November 2020 you could disconnect from the new and it would work, but no longer...
Tempted to try using cmd line, but 1) suspect I will get the same results and 2) concenred about ending up unlicenced.
Did notice this recently added article, suggesting you now have to generate education keys: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/upgrade-windows-to-education ?
Only think left to try is to get the laptop onto our VPN and try a KMS activation.. fingers crossed!

P.S. This is not a cry for help, but also a heads up that this process may be complicated since Nov 2020
